Wind Energy – The Future Of Alternative Energy

There is no doubt that the wind is a natural resource that can be used to generate power and even electricity. The best thing is that it’s an alternative energy resource that exists practically everywhere.

Not every part of the world is suitable for wind turbines – to generate a substantial amount of energy a wind turbine needs a wind speed of at least five meters per second. This requires an insular area rather than an inner city, and it should be as flat as possible, without mountain surrounding it.

Wind Energy for Oklahoma Hospital

Through the inivitatives of Venger Wind and SWG Energy, the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) has established its own building-integrated wind power system. The collaboration between the two companies is part of OMRF’s zero emission goal in their newly established research center in Oklahoma.

The Venger Wind company together with SWG Wind was able to install 18 vertical axis wind turbines to help the OMRF research center reach its zero emission program. The turbines are integrated to the building itself and appears to be an avant-garde design that also happens to be attractive to visitors and tourists in the area.

Advancements In Wind Energy In The UK

All around the world, countries are making efforts to reduce traditional energy consumption and transfer to renewable sources. The most well-known and commonly used source is solar energy, and especially in the UK, you can see more and more homes and businesses installing solar panels.

However, there are other sources that can help in moving forward and contributing to the fight to preserve our planet, such as wind and water energy sources. Recently, there has been a major progress in the UK regarding wind turbines.

Save The Planet With Your Own Wind Turbine

Our planet needs all the help we can give, if it’s less fuel, protecting the woods or coming up with renewable energy sources that can reduce the traditional electricity consumption. Wind turbines are definitely at the top of the list of renewable and alternative energy sources.

Recently it became very popular to construct home wind turbines that can generate energy to replace some of the electricity usage. It is not so easy to build a wind turbine at your back yard, but it’s not so hard either. You just need a little motivation and a skilled contractor.

Cars Of The Future – Running On Wind Energy

wind turbines6 Cars Of The Future Running On Wind Energy

In our efforts to make products more environmentally friendly, cars are at the top of the list. The gases that cars emit are very harmful to our planet, and also the fuel and diesel are expensive and limited resources. There are already cars that run on electricity instead of fuel, but a greater thing would be cars that run on solar or wind energy.

Mostly, the type of energy used in electric vehicles is solar, since individual cells are quite easy to install on any flat surface. Other types of renewable energy types are in development, for instance – wind energy.

How Wind Turbines Can Help The Environment

Everyone has heard about solar power, and you can see more and more houses with solar panels in the last decade. There’s something powerful about the thought of all that bright sunshine being collected and turned into planet (and money) saving electricity. The wind is another natural resource that can be used to generate power and electricity, and it’s an alternative energy resource that exists everywhere, including countries that do not enjoy a lot of sun.
