In the constant search for alternative energy sources, scientists discovered that algae can produce a lot of energy. Until recently, algae was used with other components to create energy, but now we hear a report about a building in Hamburg, Germany that uses algae as a single source of energy.
This building will use algae to power its cooling and heating systems, and they are using 129 louvered tanks filled with algae to do so. During the summer, the algae tanks can provide cooling as the algae is acting as shade and it blocks most of the sunlight.
